What a difference Mar 04, 2010
By Jon Almada I purchased the MDX1600 to work on improving the acoustics of my very imperfect studio by using the noise gate to cut down some of the ambient noise that is present in the building. I run with an ART tube preamp and a Shure SM7B, selected for it's forgiving nature in noisy studios.
The rig sounded pretty good before the MDX1600 but now sounds absolutely awesome in my first recordings with it. The gate really does work as advertised and the compressor has changed everything with giving my voice over work that crisp "punch" I've been looking for. Since I do shows for BlogTalkRadio, I use Skype to uplink my audio to the streaming servers at BlogTalkRadio and the quality of the shows should be noticeably improved as a result of the MDX1600. I'm very impressed and would definitely buy again. A great unit at a great price. 5-stars to Behringer for making great products.

By G. Lee I have been using the MDX1600 to record wave files into my pc and I am really really impressed. I still can't believe that I could get such a professional sound from this product. The MDX1600 might have a cheap price but it doesn't by any means feel cheap. It has a very solid structure and it does exactly what it says it would do. I am very pleased with this purchase and the service at Amazon.com.
