Computer Switch Center Sep 18, 2007
By 21st Century Hermit Pros: Eight HQ lighted switches. Standard 3-prong outlets spaced wide enough for small wall warts. Internally connected with 1/4" spade terminals. Ample space between switches for vertical text labels. Excellent workmanship in the wiring.
Cons: No master switch. No room above or below the switches for 3/8" Dymo labels. Ugly large text product label.
I use this as a computer control center mounted below a table. Because I live off-the-grid in a solar electric home, all electric devices are switched off to prevent ghost loads from draining my batteries. I drilled a hole in the ugly text area and added a master switch. In the past I've used under monitor switch centers, while easier to implement than this, the master switch would fail every two years . . . PITA!!!! I doubt these switches will ever fail. Besides 8 control switches are better than 5.

A simple solution. Feb 10, 2010
By Feed These are exactly what they claim to be. I must have gotten a steal of a deal on mine at $14.95 each. Still, for eight individually-switched outlets you won't go wrong here. Each rocker is illuminated when switched on, and controls an individual 3-prong outlet on the back. The rear outlets are spaced far enough apart for some "wall wart" transformer plugs, but not all will fit (plugs and switches are spaced 1+5/8" center-center). The entire load is protected by a 15-amp breaker. I too would have appreciated a master switch for the unit, but anyone skilled in electronics would have little trouble adding one to this simple metal box.

Good for light use Apr 05, 2011
By Hammster Can't complain given the price. The switches are reasonably solid. Fits in 1U a little tight but ok. As long as you don't abuse this, I think it will last a long time.

Need switches? May 21, 2011

Good price. Well made. Gives you switch control for lots of devices. cool lights too! Woo hoo. hard to go wrong with this guy. The thing I worry about with less expensive power strips is quality of build/materials. Buy a cheap power strip and burn your house down. Wasn't so cheap was it??? This one is well built. Solid, well shielded wiring. I'm happy with it.

E 107 - Small but well-built Mar 21, 2011
By M. OToole The Eliminator E 107 is just about everything you could want in a switch panel. Switches are sturdy. There plenty of them, AND they are all lit when activated. That is a great feature that is not advertized enough.
I have only 2 small complaints.
The unit is too shallow to securely support a monitor (but then, it is designed as a rack switch panel and not a computer monitor platform). A 2 x 6 board placed behind the E 107 easily fixed this. The unit itself is certainly sturdy enough to support the weight of a monitor.
The back panel is too crowded with outlets to allow for easy plugging of peripheral tansformers. This is the price for having so many outlets; it is a worth while trade-off. Creative placement of multiple 3-way outlet plugs fixes this.
Others have accurately complained about the lack of space for lables. Making small, handwritten labels was not a problem for me
The buyer should note there is no surge protection with the E 107. It is simply a multi-switched power strip. It is a solid one, however, and one I am very glad I bought. I plugged mine into a master surge protector.
Few External Hard Drives are made with power switches any more, and this unit is perfect for controlling their engagement and prolonging their life. With a little effort on my part, the E 107 suites my purposes perfectly.
