Very poorly made, disappointing Oct 28, 2010
By Dan When this arrived, I was a little concerned, since the cloth-covered filter was popped out of the hoop, and floating around in the package. I put it back into the hoop, and tightened the clamp nut as tight as I could by hand, and the filter had no strength. The filter would pop effortlessly out of the hoop, and the hoop itself was unable to support itself in any position but hanging down limply. The gooseneck is weak, and can barely support the weight of the filter. I set it up, and placed it on my mic stand, then went to class. When I got back and went to record a few things with it, the filter promptly fell out of the hoop, and the bottom "seam" of the fabric came unglued. Now I've got a barely usable stand-clamp gooseneck with a ring clamp that can't stand up on its own, and a pop filter with a large hole at one end where the fabric came unglued.
This is a dirt-cheap pop filter that can't hold itself together and is totally unusable.

Simple and standard Apr 16, 2009
By A. Garofalo It is what it is, a microphone por filter. It does with it suppose to do. My only complain is that the bolt that secures it to the stand does not come with a rubber ending or similar soft material to avoid scratching the stand. In this sense, the design is pretty primitive.

Starting to fall apart Sep 13, 2010

The yolk that fastens the actual hoop to the gooseneck is the weak link here - I've owned mine only a few weeks and it's already falling off. That's fine as long as you don't cast it at too severe an angle.

Built like a tank... Aug 30, 2011

The item is built like a tank... and that's not a good thing. It weighs a ton, and unless you have a boom arm built like a tank, it won't be able to support the weight.
The mesh filter had runs in it like an old pair of women's hose.
I usually don't like to write negative reviews, so let me end on a positive note. I mean't it when I said it was well constructed. So if you're using the filter on something mounted... Let's say on a desk, it just might work. As for the screening material having runs... Well, maybe it was just a one off...

Terrible May 03, 2011
By O. Mariko The clamp is a joke; It won't even stay on my desk and the gooseneck part is flimsy and weak. Buy another one.
